Recently, Colorcon has taken the Coating School into the virtual space, giving the opportunity to step into one of our technical facilities around the world. Through theory and practical demonstrations, Colorcon's experts cover everything necessary to be successful, from core to coating. These events cover understanding the choices for film coating, process optimization and troubleshooting to an insight into the most up-to-date continuous coating technology.
Recent events have been hosted by our technical teams in India, North America, Mexico and Europe.

Acryl-EZE® - Extended pH Range of Enteric Coatings for Pharma
Colorcon recently announced an addition to the range of Acryl-EZE, Aqueous Enteric Coatings which extend the pH range covered by our enteric coatings. Applications include tablets and multiparticulate dosages for a range of drug products, including proton pump inhibitors (PPI) which are commonly used to treat acid reflux and ulcers of the stomach and duodenum.
This extension to the Acryl-EZE portfolio of products represents an advance in delayed release coating technology to provide the pharmaceutical industry with added convenience for enteric coating. Acryl-EZE formulations provide considerable time savings in both development and production, while enabling targeted drug delivery across a wide pH range.
Through Colorcon’s coating technology, this new Acryl-EZE II formulation provides simplified preparation and use, with enhanced protection up to pH 5.0 through the addition of a special topcoat. Coating performance has been validated through a human volunteer study in the most challenging fed state conditions, confirming bioavailability and in-vivo performance.
